The temperature on the Costa Brava

Mediterranean climate

Sunny summers on the Costa Brava

The Costa Brava has a typical Mediterranean climate, which means the area enjoys long, warm summers and short, mild winters. Summers are usually dry and sunny, with average maximum temperatures ranging between 28°C and 31°C, making it an ideal destination for beach and water sports enthusiasts. During these months, the sky is usually clear and the days are long, allowing you to fully enjoy the sun and sea.

Mild winters on the Costa Brava

In the winter months, the weather remains relatively mild compared to other parts of Europe. Daytime temperatures average between 13°C and 16°C, while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 3°C to 4°C. Although it is cooler, the temperature is still pleasant enough for outdoor activities. Winters are usually partly cloudy and can be windy, but it rarely gets very cold.

Blooming spring and colorful autumn

Spring and fall are also beautiful times to visit the Costa Brava. In spring, with temperatures ranging from 16°C to 21°C, nature blooms and temperatures are ideal for hiking and cycling. Fall brings a colorful landscape, and the sea is still warm enough for swimming, with temperatures dropping from 25°C in September to 16°C in November.

In general, the Costa Brava offers a pleasant climate throughout the year, with plenty of sunshine and relatively little rain. This makes your stay at the Hotel Barcarola even more enjoyable, regardless of the season.
